Walsall Holiday Activities & Food Programme

Booking for FREE summer activities opens on Monday 3rd July at 10:00am.


What is the HAF programme and who is eligible? Walsall Council is running a Summer Holiday Activities and Food Programme (funded through the Department for Education). This programme will provide free activities including free meals for children ages 5 – 16 years old who receive income related free school meals or on a plan across Walsall, over Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays.


What is the Summer Offer? Working with over 70 providers across 90 locations in Walsall from schools, nursery’s, leisure centres, libraries, voluntary and community settings. 

Once your child is registered, you will be able to book a maximum of 4 weeks of activities choosing from the below offer.


Offer 1  A Holiday Club, providing a range of activities throughout the week for children/young people to attend, including a healthy meal. The children/young people will attend the same setting for 4 days for a minimum of four 4 hours per day.



Offer 2  4 Pick and Mix/ Family Activity, a different activity each day, including a healthy meal. Each child/young person will be able to choose up to four Pick and Mix sessions per week. There is a range of activities including bowling, roller skating, swimming and arts and crafts, family activities, send only activities and much more…. 


Activities aim to be inclusive of your child's needs where possible. Some activities are specific to children with SEND. Each HAF activity has a description and a list of SEN support information to help you decide if the activity will meet your child's needs.

Join us at Pleck Library Campus next Thursday on 27th October and bring your children down to join in with activities such as:

And much more! 👍

People can come down anytime between 10am – 2pm to get involved in these fun family sessions!
