Head Teacher Update - School Closure
Thu 19 Mar 2020UPDATE FROM THE HEAD TEACHER : 19TH MARCH
In line with yesterday’s announcement from the Prime Minister, Blakenall Heath Junior School will be closed for the majority of pupils, from 3.00pm on Friday 20th March until further notice.
The only pupils entitled to on-site educational provision from Monday 23rd March are those who belong to certain key groups. Further information and clarification about these key groups will be communicated to schools later today. As soon as we receive this communication, we will be in contact with relevant parents to confirm arrangements.
Throughout the closure period, daily updates will be posted on the website. Therefore, I encourage parents to check the website on a daily basis in order to keep abreast of developments.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents for continuing to be so incredibly supportive and understanding as we navigate through these challenging time together.
I would also like to thank staff for being so incredibly professional and for going the extra mile to make the unmanageable seem manageable in the last few days.
Finally, I want to pay tribute to our wonderful pupils who have remained so calm, polite and respectful during such an unsettled period of their education.
