    Tue 26 Jan 2021 A.Meakin

Walsall College has asked us to share details of a survey they are undertaking to get the views of parents on what they as a provider can offer and if there are any areas where they can improve.

The survey will cover questions such as:

What would you like to study?

What courses would you like us to offer that we don’t currently?

How long would you like to study a course for?

Where and when would you like to study?

How would you like to study a course – at home, at one of our campuses, a community venue?

The survey can be completed here - https://walsallcollege.surveykiwi.com/adultcourses

They are also offering a £10 book voucher to the first 50 people who complete the survey. The vouchers can be used in the following stores:

  • Google Classroom Launch

    Thu 21 Jan 2021 A.Meakin

    21st January 2021

    Dear Parents and Carers

    Re: Google Classroom launch

First of all a massive thank you for all of your support with our on-line learning – we know it must be extremely difficult to juggle things and continue to encourage and support your children with their work. The school website was not originally intended to hold all the content it currently does (just homework originally) and is under very heavy load – so, from Monday 25th January, we will be moving all the on-line work to Google Classroom.

Over the next 2 days you will receive a unique password for you child/ren and step by step instructions on how to join Google Classroom and access the work will be uploaded to the school website.

It will be easier to see all the work in different formats and staff will be able to electronically mark and return it. As it is on a Google platform, it will be accessible from more devices including X-box and PlayStation.

The class email service to your child’s teacher will continue and they will be able to help you with the new platform. Could I just ask that you bear with us during the week as we ourselves get used to this and it may take a little longer than usual for us to get back to you.

Walsall College are offering a short course ‘How to support your child to use Google Classroom’. The course is free of charge, to enrol visit the following link - http://www.walsallcollege.ac.uk/short-course-enrolment

If you would still prefer paper copies of work please email your class teacher or contact the school office.

If you are having difficulty with accessing a device and are in receipt of Free School Meals, please contact us as we may be able to loan you a laptop from our final DfE allocation that should arrive this week.

Thank you again for your continuing support.

    Yours sincerely,

    Ms K J Baker

    Head Teacher
