  World Book Day – Friday 4^th March

  The main aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading. To support this we are celebrating World Book Day on Friday 4^th March 2022 and children are being asked to dress up as their favourite book character. This activity is free.

   

  Comic Relief Red Nose Day – Friday 18^th March

  For a donation of £1.00 children can dress up or wear non-uniform (no onesies please).  All proceeds will go to Comic Relief.

   

  As Year 5 children have PE on both these days they can bring their kit with them and get changed at school.

• Free Courses at Walsall College

  Walsall College is currently offering a number of FREE training courses with a guaranteed job interview for anyone who is unemployed, claiming benefits or employed with an income lower than £18,135 per annum.

   

  It’s never been easier to get a job in a new sector! These free training courses allow participants to start a career in a completely new sector in just a few weeks! As long as the participants are motivated and willing to learn, they have a very high chance of securing employment, following the guaranteed interview with the employer!

   

  These courses take place at either Hawbush Campus in Leamore or at our Cannock Campus. Some of our upcoming training courses at Hawbush include:

   

  *NHS Clinical Support Worker

  *ValYou Recruitment – General Labourers & Groundworkers

  *National Express – Trainee Bus Driver

   

  As well as these three training courses, there are also a number of other great free courses with employers for roles in a wide range of sectors including West Midlands Metro, Grosvenor Casinos, Construction College Midlands and many others!
